“I created this plan book after being 4MAT trained and as I began to implement this process in my classroom. The 4MAT Method was working great but my materials were all over the place. I needed a tool for organizing my daily lessons in a way that meshed well with the 4MAT Instructional Cycle. I found myself drawing small wheels on my plan book and stuffing handouts and lesson plans into an already bulging spiral binder. So, I decided to create a 4MAT Plan Book to help organize my work.”
This plan book is the ideal replacement for multi subject lesson plan books that many teachers use. With it, teachers can create and track daily lessons and 4MAT units, helping teachers to help monitor how well lessons are addressing the key elements of instruction.
The 4MAT Lesson Planner includes a weekly planner with the 4MAT cycle displayed on the corner of each class period. The teacher can mark where the lesson falls on the wheel for that day. For instance on Monday, a teacher may teach the CONNECT (1R) ATTEND, (1L) and IMAGE (2R) steps of lesson then work on the INFORM (2L) section on Tuesday through Thursday.
